Associate Underwriting Team Leader
Job Description: Supports Team Leader or Senior Team Leader with all job functions to learn industry business and job responsibilities necessary for future growth as a Team Leader (3-4 years)Underwrites new and renewal business, approves policy changes, maintains workload and controls written business up to and including the time of binding according to company guidelines and established by CRC proceduresDevelop, cultivate and maintain excellent client RelationshipsMarket and underwrite products and services to clientsUnderwrite new and renewal business under supervision of a Team LeaderNegotiate the best terms and coverages available with accessible marketsPrepare submissions for markets and secure quotesAssist Team Leader with meeting or exceeding production goalsMonitor accounts to ensure compliance with companys policies and proceduresConduct Rating as assigned by Team LeaderReview and process policy servicing requests (endorsement, audits, company requests, premium finance notices and cancellations, etc.)Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented to us at the time of binding and take appropriate or needed actions as directed by your Team LeaderProof of policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. and make corrections as appropriateProvide necessary instruction to Team Assistant or ClerkRequirements: College degreeCurrent state specific licenseMust commit to a minimum of three years and have aspirations of becoming a Team LeaderMaintain necessary licenses to produce businessMust be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policiesAbility to review information, make decisions and manage time effectively with minimal or no supervisionStrong desire to advance to an SCU Team LeaderMust have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and ratingMust possess and maintain current knowledge of the insurance industryExcellent written and verbal skillsAbility to work in a team environment essentialAbility to work extend hours when necessaryMaintain travel schedule depending on the needs of the clients, Agents, and new businessBenefits: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and AD&D insurancetax-advantaged savings accounts401(k) plan with company matchgenerous paid time off programscompany holidaysvacation and sick daysnew parent leave
