To learn more, please visit www.generousbrands.com .Responsibilities WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE This role contributes to Evolution Fresh success by ensuring that all production equipment is properly cleaned and that the facility meets all Food Regulatory StandardsResponsible for detail cleaning of processing equipment including, production utensils, tanks, conveyors, overhead pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceiling etc. Responsible for maintaining outside waste area and perimeterMust use the 7 steps to effective wet wash during cleaning to maintain Food Safety and Pest ControlMust comply with all company and quality policies and chemical and safety proceduresMay be required to assemble and disassemble processing equipmentWork in a timely manner to return production areas and equipment back to production Responsible for transporting trash and other waste for disposalAble to communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnelWear all proper protective equipment during sanitation cleaningAbility to learn equipment systems or use HMI screens to stop, start, and purge equipmentOther duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experienceAdditional Required QualificationsKnowledge of GMPs, Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Standard Cleaning MethodsWilling to learn and adhere to proper procedures in safety when working with moving machineryWilling to accept change and work in a team-based environmentUnderstand Lock out tag out proceduresExperience in Food Manufacturing a plus Must have good attendance Excellent oral & written communications skills Good planning & organizational skills Ability to make decision / good problem-solving skills Great listening skills and can follow instructions Ability to work in a team environment Ability to use chemicals (soap, sanitizers, acids) safelyKnowledge of sanitation equipment and tools Must be flexible with schedule, as shift times could change, weekends and overtime may be required or part of the normal work schedulePreferred QualificationsMay be required to become certified in forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or electric pallet jack certification Physical DemandsMust be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. in an occasional manner.Must be able to grasp with fingers and hand for extended periods of time in a repetitive motion.Must be able to use 3-points of contact when climbing or descending stairs.Must be able to stoop, bend at knees, and/or crouch in a repetitive manner.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Must be able to work in environmental exposure including, but not limited to, freezer and noisy, cold, wet, or humid conditions of 34°F or below.Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic, and/or caustic chemicals.Occasional material exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
