Role Overview:
We are seeking a Java Developer to contribute to the engineering efforts for a high-priority, Capitalized Project. In this role, you will focus on hands-on backend engineering, designing, building, and scaling a robust microservices architecture. You will ensure your development work meets capitalization criteria through rigorous engineering standards, accurate deliverable tracking, and modular design. You will build high-performance distributed systems while collaborating closely with the broader engineering team and stakeholders to drive the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microservices Architecture: Design, decompose, and deploy scalable, distributed microservices using Java ecosystems.
- Core Backend Engineering: Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, participate actively in code reviews, and resolve complex technical bugs.
- Capitalized Project Delivery: Execute core development milestones, ensuring that tasks and time allocations are meticulously documented to align with asset capitalization requirements.
- Integration & Communication: Implement resilient synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns between services (e.g., REST, gRPC, event-driven messaging).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with DevOps and cloud engineers to streamline containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Expertise: Deep proficiency in Java and microservices frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Distributed Systems: Proven experience developing and managing microservices, API gateways, service discovery, and distributed tracing.
- Cloud Environment: Hands-on engineering experience within an enterprise cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Project Awareness: Experience working on milestone-driven Capitalized Projects, with an understanding of how development tasks translate to capital assets.
- Data Management: Strong understanding of database patterns in microservices (e.g., database-per-service, event sourcing, or CQRS).
