Entry Level Customer Service Representative / Sales

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their inquiries, promote products, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Utilize effective communication skills to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products that meet customer needs. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and stocked. Process transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling and register operations. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall customer service quality. Assist in training new staff members on customer service best practices and product knowledge. Experience Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with sales techniques, including upselling and product promotion, is beneficial. A willingness to learn about our products and services to better assist customers is essential.
