PineView Nursing & Rehabilitation Center 411 Pine St, Sylvania, GA 30467 PineView Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Respiratory Therapist (RT) To work in a Skilled Nursing facility (SNF). Full-Time position The ideal Candidate should have a passion for working with the geriatric population, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. Respiratory Therapist (RT) Responsibilities include: Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non-respiratory illness. Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment. Complete a variety of bedside treatments. Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation. Attend applicable IDT meetings. Experience with tracheotomy Experience is a long-term care setting. Follow procedure and protocol of facility. Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management. Performs related duties as required. Described in the Departmental Policy and procedure Manual in these areas of skilled interventions: Oxygen weaning therapy. Omniflow – Biofeed back Group respiratory therapy Standardized respiratory testing. Aerosol therapy IPPB therapy Incentive Spirometry Chest physiotherapy Deep breathing and coughing Bronchial hygiene therapy PEP therapy Postal Drainage Positioning Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning Airway clearance/management techniques Trachea-bronchial suctioning Tracheostomy care Spirometry Bedside Testing CPAP/BIPAP High-Flow Oxygen Cardiac Program Pulmonary Program Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation Respiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT. Current BLS certification.
