On the dev side, you're designing and building scalable .NET/C# services that support a software suite used by Operations & Maintenance teams in continuous process industries, with a strong focus on Power Generation. On the ops side, you're managing web servers, configuring services for performance, and supporting the shift from monolithic to microservices architecture. You'll implement and manage cloud native solutions on AWS, use Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning, monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, networking, and resource allocation, and build, package, and maintain applications as containers.How You'll Make an ImpactDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems using .NET/C#, ensuring high quality, maintainable codeManage and configure web servers and core services for optimal performance and reliabilitySupport the transition from monolithic to microservices architectureImplement and manage cloud native solutions on AWSUse Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) to automate provisioningDeploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, including networking and resource allocationDevelop, package, and maintain applications as containers using DockerBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deploymentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to translate business requirements into technical solutionsImplement security measures and data protection protocolsWrite and maintain unit test casesParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior developersWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in backend developmentStrong proficiency in .NET Framework and C#Strong knowledge of standard collection types (List, Dictionary, HashSet, Queue, Stack) and when to use eachExperience with thread-safe collections and multithreadingSolid database experience (SQL and/or NoSQL)Strong hands-on AWS experience (Azure awareness a plus), including cloud native architecture and IaC toolingProduction experience with Kubernetes: deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, networking, and resource managementStrong Docker/containerisation experienceExperience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExperience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)Design patterns knowledgeStrong communication and collaboration abilities
