This position oversees the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating of all Skilled Nursing personnel providing direct resident care within the campus.Skilled Nursing experience required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintains residents'charts to include all admission documents, care plans, records ofcareand any other documents required by state regulatoryagencies.Operates theSNFareas in compliance withall regulations from federal, state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction over thecampusand act as liaison between the campusand regulatoryagencies.Implements the administration of resident medications, assesses response to medications and treatmentsand makes appropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity to be implementedParticipates in andleads staff meetings andimplements nursing programConductsdaily resident roundsandinitiatescorrectiveaction as necessary.Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently. The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.TRAVEL: No travel is expected although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Two- or Four-yearcollege or universitydegreerequiredCurrent state licensureas a Nurseis requiredTwo years' experiencein a similar healthcare position requiredFive years of healthcare experiencedesiredRemain in good standing withall standards ofthe Nurse Practice ActKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.Ability to understand and follow directions as given.Ability to work with minimal supervision.SLC1TA1
