Medium Duty Automotive Technician

In 2021 we converted our high ceiling body shop to a large functioning truck shop with three Rotary 20,000 lbs two post lifts, a new 12k 3-stage arm lift, and a set of new (4) column mobile lifts with a capacity of 56,000 lbs. In fact, we have consistently won Ford Motor Company's highest honor, the President's Award, for excellence in customer service.ResponsibilitiesPerforms work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standardsInspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires.Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioningProvides an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecutes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsObtains certifications and training expectations from Ford Motor CompanyProvides detailed documentation on repair order to claim warranty properly from FordQualificationsPrevious experience as a Service TechnicianUnderstanding of and ability to repair large trucks and diesel powertrainStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and informationKnowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenanceAbility to learn quickly and provide top-notch customer serviceBasic Computer SkillsGreat teammateClean and valid driver's licenseEnsures that customer's cars are kept cleanMaintain stall in an orderly and clean mannerAbility to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
