Fire Alarm Inspector

Performance of semi-annual and/or annual inspections on fire alarm systems, emergency and exit lights. Complete electronic inspection reports. Document accurately all clock events. Document all paperwork relating to service/inspection call in a timely manner. Take ownership of inspections, escalating issues to supervisors as needed. Communicate schedule with customers and offer support over the phone. Professionally field customer complaints and attempt to resolve, involving supervisor when necessary. Excellent verbal communication skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers. Assist the scheduling and completion of assigned duties. Work independently, as well as, with other team members. Know and use formal and informal channels to achieve faster work results for the team. Maintain clear and accurate records of previous, current, and future inspections/repairs. Must be committed to creating value in the department. Must be consistent and dependable with attendance, must have strong organizational skills, must have a positive attitude. Use personal protective equipment PPE at all times as appropriate. Adhere to company policies and procedures, especially company safety manual. Respond rapidly to service calls. Provide excellent customer service and develop positive customer relationships. Work closely with Manager to ensure optimal operations. Drive and maintain company vehicle; ensure scheduled services are performed. Other duties as assigned from the Manager. Requirements Must be able to read blueprints, diagrams, operation/product manuals, schematics, software/system programs, specifications and/or submittals Basic computer skills required, including: Microsoft office and systems programmers Proficient in completing accurate paperwork on a tablet device.
