Civic Engagement-Youth Violence Prevention

Civic Engagement-Youth Violence PreventionThe YVP Call-to-Action initiative is a collaborative effort bringing together the City of Lancaster, the School District of Lancaster, and community partners to address youth violence through coordinated planning and shared strategy. For more than a year the steering committee has met monthly to align existing youth violence reduction programs, improve communication across organizations, and build a unified approach to supporting young people. This group represents the first coordinated, citywide space dedicated to collective dialogue, problem-solving, and strategic planning around youth safety. Its work will culminate in Lancaster's first Youth Violence Prevention Strategic Plan, designed to streamline services, reduce duplication, and strengthen outcomes for youth across the city.
