We aim to be the best place you will ever work. A Brief OverviewAs a Trainee Auto Technician, you will receive extensive training to become a skilled auto glass technician. Upon completion of our training program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and gain the essential skills required for performing glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently. It is expected that you embody the Safelite Spirit with a positive attitude, a caring heart, and a service-oriented approach, striving to deliver unexpected happiness to our customers by completing jobs promptly and with impeccable quality.What You Will DoGet paid to learn the Safelite approach through hands-on and classroom training. Observe and assist in auto glass installations and repairs. Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and conduct diagnostic testing. Study and pass tests to become a certified Safelite Technician, showcasing your installation proficiency while maintaining a positive mindset. Safely operate company and customer vehicles and utilize the tools and chemicals needed throughout your workday. Perform additional duties as assigned. Comply with all company policies and standards. What You'll Get:Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after successful completion of training and certification. Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED/Equivalent Preferred. Valid state-issued driver's license required to operate a company vehicle. Experience QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older required. Skills and AbilitiesAbility to regularly lift and carry items up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces. Proficient in the safe use of a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Demonstrates professionalism and a passion for outstanding customer service. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Familiarity with working with chemicals, including flammable materials. Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule based on customer needs. Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language along with technical directions. Professional appearance and adherence to company dress and PPE policies.
