Robotics Systems Support Engineer
About the Role
As a Robotics Systems Support Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical lead for our automated material handling infrastructure, ensuring peak operational performance and system reliability. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming and electromechanical troubleshooting to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the health and performance of automated robotic vehicles, vertical lifts, and complex conveyor adapters.
Execute root-cause analysis for system-level operational disruptions to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.
Translate technical system data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams and onsite stakeholders.
Facilitate knowledge transfer by training operations staff on warehouse management systems and hardware maintenance.
Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at standardizing processes and enhancing overall system efficiency.
Maintain rigorous adherence to safety protocols, including LOTO and fall protection, to ensure a secure work environment.
Provide on-site technical escalation support to resolve production-critical issues effectively.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting complex automated systems.
Proficiency in PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley or Siemens and familiarity with Python or SQL.
Demonstrated ability to work at heights and in varying temperature-controlled environments.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various customer sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ABB or similar industrial robotics platforms.
Strong background in Linux-based system environments.
Proven track record of managing technical projects under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills for client-facing technical communication.
