Plumber Helper / Apprentice
The Plumber Helper/Apprentice assists licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience while developing the technical skills required to become a licensed plumber.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Assist plumbers with installation of water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures
* Carry and organize tools, equipment, and materials at job sites
* Cut, measure, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools
* Help with troubleshooting plumbing issues and repairs
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Follow safety procedures and building codes
* Load and unload materials and equipment
* Support demolition and site preparation work when needed
* Attend required apprenticeship training classes (if applicable)
*Skills & Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs)
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions
* Reliable transportation
* Strong work ethic and punctuality
* Ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Enrollment in a plumbing apprenticeship program
* OSHA 10 certification
* Prior construction or trade experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
