Software Engineer

A leading global technology-driven trading firm is seeking Software Engineers to join a highly regarded engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers a large-scale, real-time trading environment.This is an opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges across ultra-low-latency systems, distributed computing, large-scale data processing, performance optimisation, and highly resilient software platforms. Engineers in this team focus on the foundational technology that enables the broader business to innovate at speed.The Role:As part of this high-performance engineering team, you will:Design, build and maintain critical infrastructure and platform components used across the organisation.Develop high-performance systems operating under demanding reliability and latency requirements.Partner closely with engineering and business teams to solve complex technical problems.Build elegant, scalable solutions within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.Drive improvements across software performance, scalability and productivity.Help set technical direction of critical projects.Requirements:4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.Strong computer science fundamentals across algorithms and data structures, memory management, concurrency and multithreading, CPU architecture and operating systems.Strong proficiency in C++ and Linux, or a demonstrated ability to quickly become productive in these technologies.Passion for writing clean, maintainable and efficient code.Background in finance is not required.
