Construction Safety Manager

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and drive safety initiatives across heavy civil construction projects. This role will oversee jobsite safety compliance, training, and culture across projects involving earthwork, utilities, roadways, bridges, and infrastructure work.If you are passionate about building strong safety cultures and ensuring every team member goes home safely each day, this is an opportunity to make a major impact.Key Responsibilities:Lead and enforce company-wide safety programs across heavy civil projectsEnsure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulationsConduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessmentsDevelop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientation programsInvestigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective action plansCollaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to proactively mitigate riskMaintain documentation including JHAs, safety logs, and compliance reportingSupport pre-bid and pre-construction safety planningQualifications:5+ years of safety experience in heavy civil construction (earthwork, utilities, DOT, bridges, site development, etc.)Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and heavy equipment safetyOSHA 30 (required)CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications preferredExperience working on DOT or federally funded projects is a plusStrong leadership and communication skillsPlease send resumes to josh.vaughan@gogpac.com or reach out with any questions
