Supervisor 1, Rapid Response
Oversees the operations and the staff of the Rapid Response section of the Laboratory. Ensures lab results and services are of the utmost quality for all patients and customers.
Description:
Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults.
Plans, organizes and provides services for the Rapid Response (including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis) section of the Laboratory
Oversees quality of the section and ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and CAP requirements.
Supervises employees in the following sections: Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Coagulation, and Blood Gases.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Oversees all aspects related to the operation of the sections.
Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical/medical technology science and at least one year of experience with high complexity testing.
Minimum five years progressively responsible experience in a Laboratory environment.
Some courses in Management desirable.
MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or equivalent required within 2 years of hire.
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Schedule Details:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Occasional Evenings, Occasional Weekends and Holidays
