The candidate will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. The candidate will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The candidate will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. The candidate will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.ResponsibilitiesThe MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.This position is on-site at El Segundo, CA. Some of the job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop T&E strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) content, verification plans, test objectives, test procedures, and evaluation criteriaCollect, analyze, and report T&E dataSupporting implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the programSupporting development of DoD compliant deficiency reporting and resolution systemParticipate in T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)Support and observe test execution at DoD and contractor facilitiesQualifications RequiredBachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field3-5 years of experience supporting or executing multi-faceted test activitiesStrong communication, teamwork, and presentation skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZENQualifications DesiredMaster's degree in a relevant technical field3-5 years of Test & Evaluation experience with DoD/USAF processesExperience with SATCOM system testing5+ years of systems engineering experienceINCOSE CSEP/ESEP certificationExperience working with military or DoD civilian partnersTop Secret security clearanceRequired Certifications: NoneU.S. Citizenship Required: YesSecurity Clearance Required: Ability to ObtainEmployment Type: Regular Full-timeBackground Check Type: 7 Year Pre-EmploymentDrug Screen Required: NonePosition Contingent Upon Contract Award: NoSalary Range$98,000 - $122,000 USDREAL ID RequirementThis position may require the ability to access to U.S. federal facilities.
