Back-End Developer

Job Overview Column Case Management is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Back-End Developer to join our innovative software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications that power our web platforms and services. Your expertise will help create scalable, efficient, and secure back-end solutions that enhance user experience and support our business objectives. Duties Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures Direct software programming and development of documentation Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems Design or develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements · Design, develop, support, and in some cases, deploy Column Products · Install and configuration Column Products · Develop Column Products based upon requirements and/or design provided by Product Architect or Senior Developer · Participate in internal proof of concepts (POC) · Implement integrations with Column Products · Troubleshoot and support Column applications and systems · Draft technical installation, configuration and customization specification documents · Communicate strategies and best practices for product implementation and support · Test code developed by self and others Qualifications · Programming languages: JAVA, JavaScript, Angular, Batch, UNIX Shell Script, HTML, XML, XSL · Demonstrated mastery of documentation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio; Atlassian Suite - Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence; Adobe Acrobat; a graphics editing package such as Photoshop, etc.) · Experience with Install4J and License4J · Good Communication skills and ability to work on their own or within a team · Operating Systems: Windows and UNIX environments: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, CentOS Linux · Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres SQL · Web Servers: Jakarta Tomcat, Apache · Protocol: TCP/IP, Ethernet, FTP, SSH, T1 & Firewalls ·Exchange Server, Active Directory and Elasticsearch knowledge are a plus Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Parental leave Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
