Job TitleManually weld materials and components to specificationEssential Function:Set up and manually operate weld machinePerform welding processes on materials including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steelUse weld fixtures, gauges, and jigs when appropriateProduce production parts as per specified requirementsOperate forklift, pallet jack, hoist or crane to move productPerform quality inspection to ensure parts are produced to specificationAdhere to business management system (BMS), as applicableAssist with any other duties as assignedBasic Requirements:Knowledge of MIG/TIG/Resistance welding principlesGeneral manufacturing experience and knowledge of different materialsBasic to intermediate math, computer, and written/verbal communication skillsKnowledge of welding machine adjustmentsGeneral knowledge of grinders, power tools, and other small hand tools, including tape measure and caliperRead and understand prints, weld symbols, process sheets, and other documentsPhysical Exposure:Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and liftingFrequent lifting of up to 25 lbsOccasional lifting of up to 50 lbsGrinding sparks and dustOils/solvents on materialsExposure to weld flash and smokeSharp edges on parts or materialFork truck trafficThe above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the occupation.
