Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Near Mc Quady, KY We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens position near Mc Quady, KY. This role is on a PRN (as-needed) basis, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. If you're looking for a flexible opportunity to make a significant impact on Veteran care, this position is ideal for you.Position Overview: ProfessionPhysicianSpecialtyGeneral MedicineRate TypeDailyEmergency/Temp PrivilegesNoShift TypeDays (PRN - As Needed Basis)Start DateASAPEnd DateOngoingWeekend RequirementsAvailable if desired/neededOn Call RequirementsN/AKey Responsibilities: C&P ExamsConduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.Perform evaluations primarily through interviews with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.No prescribing or treatment is required, allowing you to focus solely on conducting thorough and accurate assessments.Specialization RequirementsOpen to physicians with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine.Familiarity with musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues is essential.Proficiency in METs testing, as well as the evaluation and diagnosis of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, is required.Coverage Options: Flexible Work EnvironmentTwo options for coverage are available: Travel to perform exams at a designated facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice.Flexibility to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preferences.Support & Training: Training ProvidedComprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).DocumentationReporting/DBQs must be completed and submitted within 48 hours of exam completion.No narrative report required; the final deliverable is the completion of standardized forms.Ongoing administrative tasks, including addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings, will be required.Equipment & Technology: Laptop RequirementProviders must use their own personal laptop (NO MACs).Quick CredentialingExpedited credentialing and onboarding are available to ensure a swift start.Qualifications: CertificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible.State LicenseMust hold an active medical license in Kentucky.This locum tenens opportunity offers a flexible schedule and a chance to contribute meaningfully to Veteran care.
