The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.We are currently seeking a Coordinator Programming & Development to join our Original Programming team, based in our Santa Monica, CA, office.Job ResponsibilitiesOrganizes a grid of current series, tracking weekly updates and deliverables (decks, sizzles, cuts)Schedules all meetings required for our shows, weekly check ins with producers, and meetings between internal departments (marketing, BA, PR, etc) and the creative teamCoordinates all show associated travel for executivesManages nonfiction producer gridsManages competitive nonfiction show tracking gridCoordinates with EPs to get approved metadata (when applicable)Organizes and tracks incoming pitches, saving all the materials in an easy to navigate folderSchedules meetings between agencies/producers and creative teamReviews all pitches and is prepared to give feedback on all the projectsTracks all deal memos sent out and knows what the deliverables are and when everything is due Maintains close and highly responsive relationship to day-to-day activities of the executives.Tactfully handles inquiries and/or refers to appropriate partyAnswers and screens executives’ telephone calls and visitorsThis role requires heavy calendar management for the busy executives as they schedule and maintain executives’ calendars of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangementsRefers routine matters to appropriate person for action and follows up to ensure completionAnticipates and prepares meeting materials, charts and reports needed by the executivesActs as liaison between the executives and his/her direct reports, as well as internal departments (such as business and legal affairs, publicity, and marketing) and external contactsCoordinates activities, conducts research and ensures that requests are carried outHandles a wide variety of situations and tasks involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office, which often cannot be brought to the attention of the executivesCoordinates all paperwork necessary for the Executives to approve, this includes, but not limited to, attendance sheets, travel and expense vouchersFollows up with other departments and external partners/clients to ensure that requests are carried out and activities are coordinatedResponsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies for the departmentEnsures that office equipment works properly (i.e. ensuring technology in large meetings runs smoothly for presentations, meeting recordings, video conferencing, etc.)Coordinates repair requests with facilities/outside vendors and maintains records on all repairs and ordersPossess an in-depth knowledge of industry players and landscape to help assist the department in various projects.Independently gathers, compiles and analyzes information from multiple sources to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documentsProvides pitch material coverage and gives feedback on various decks and sizzlesReading articles and books looking for potential nonfiction storiesManaging competitive network tracking gridsTaking meeting minutes and tracking action itemsCoordinating events for our team membersQUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)Bachelor's degree0-2 years of relevant work experience Ability to navigate and manage large amounts of detailed information on tight deadlines Proficiency with Excel, experience with Scheduling software and/or Wide Orbit is preferredThe base compensation range for this position is $50,000- $55,000, commensurate with experience.
