Job DescriptionThis is a second shift position that requires training on first shift. Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Die Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing team. DutiesMaintains dies in good working order by performing the following:Grinds, files, sands, and polishes surfaces of metalworking die members to specified shape and smoothness and inspects dies for abnormalities.Lifts and positions dyes on table.Studies blueprints, inspects dies for abnormalities, and compares them with die member to ascertain contours.Verifies dimensions and radii.Performs routine die maintenance; grinding polishing, replacing worn tooling, etc.Inspects smoothness and contour conformity visually and tactually.Gives attention to detail, neatness and accuracy to ensure quality and customer requirements are being met.Must be able to function under pressure and handle strict deadlines.Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions.Required to clean and maintain 5s process at all times.Required to help others out when caught up.Comply with company policies and safety regulations.Continuously strive to improve the quality system compliance by initiating action to prevent occurrence of any non conformities relating to the product, process and quality system.Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.Verify the implementation of solutions.Stop production when non-conformances occur and notify Supervisor.Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions.
