Employee turnover is low because of a high level of engagement and career fulfillment.The position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, equity consideration, excellent medical, and retirement plans.Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Investment Analyst is to support Portfolio Managers and other members of the Investment Department. The Investment Analyst will provide relevant portfolio analysis to Portfolio Managers, research markets and securities, plan and input trades, and prepare research reports and client documents. The position requires advanced computer, analytical and communication skills. The candidate will support, and be mentored by, multiple senior team members.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibilities include: report preparation, portfolio analysis, investment research and trade input as follows:Report PreparationPrepare reports to communicate with clients, networking contacts, prospects and the Investment DepartmentCreate, update and analyze investment performance reportsPortfolio AnalysisGenerate custom reports to help Portfolio Managers monitor client accountsAssist in analyzing portfolios to ensure they reflect Whittier Trust sector and security outlookAssist in providing oversight to ensure trades are made in accordance with client investment policy statementsInvestment ResearchAnalyze markets and securitiesCreate and update equity, fixed income, and economic research chartsTrade InputAssist in implementing portfolio changes across accounts DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE2 plus years' experience in related field desired but NOT This is an entry-level position.Advanced Excel skills with an emphasis on building formula-driven workbooks and modelsStrong PowerPoint skills with an emphasis on designing high-quality deliverablesAbility to quickly learn new software and systemsExperience with FactSet and Bloomberg desired but not essential.Experience with Addepar desired but not essential.Proven quantitative/analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience in time management and deliverablesCOMPENSATIONA competitive base salary, performance bonus, and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, and 401(k) with company match.Base salary range: $65,000 - $85,000.Equal Opportunity Employer
