Type: Contract, W2 onlyDuration: 12+ monthsLocation: Santa Clara, CAPay: $36/hr-$65/hr, DOEPlease note that at this time, we are unable to sponsor employment authorization (both new and transfer)A leading Global Biotech Company is seeking a mechanical engineer with an educational and/or professional background in mechanical and/or process engineering to support the development of consumable fluidic devices.Responsibilities:Flowcell manufacturing, process development, and assembly.Facilitate senior engineers in SolidWorks design.Dimensional and mechanical measurements, including data analysis and reporting.Surface metrology and characterization.Component testing, quality checks, and visual inspection.Sample preparation for external analysis.Component and subcomponent inventory management; shipping preparation and receiving.Support multiple engineering activities in a timely mannerQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution.0-2 years of professional experience required.Familiarity with SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or equivalent.Hands-on lab experience, microfabrication, microfluidics and materials knowledge or experience (preferred).Familiarity with metrology or microscopy equipment (preferred).We are an Equal Opportunity employer and welcome talent across all aspects of background, orientation, origin, and identity in an inclusive and non-discriminatory way.
