QA Automation Tester

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Tester for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This position focuses on developing comprehensive test cases and automating them for both User-Interface (UI) and database components. The ideal candidate will work within an Agile Scrum team, leveraging tools like Selenium/Tosca and strong SQL skills to ensure software quality in a banking domain. This role involves end-to-end testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with development teams.Responsibilities:Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirementsContribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteriaAutomate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/ToscaBuild and use test data required to accomplish execution of test casesExecute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test resultsTest new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failuresWork collaboratively with the development team for defect triagingExecute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)Design, develop, and execute automation scriptsTake ownership in end-to-end testingDetect and track software defects and inconsistencies, and provide timely solutionsApply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentationRequirements:Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) and a minimum of 6 years of experience5+ years of experience in Software TestingExperience in Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and databaseExpertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changesExperience with Autosys scheduling of jobsAble to write and execute Unix commandsProven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologiesStrong experience in writing complex SQL queries using JoinsWorking knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)Hands-on Agile experienceExperience in the Banking domainDesired skills:Ability to document and troubleshoot errorsExcellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basisAbility to be self-directed to complete assigned activitiesExperience working with large, globally distributed teamsStrong problem identification and solving skillsAbility to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
