Barista/Customer Service Representative
Job Description: Cashier & Customer Service
Reports To: Front of House Supervisor

The Front of House Team Member position supports all retail and in-store to go food and beverage needs. This position involves the promotion of all Magnol products, including coffee consumption by educating guests and selling all drinks and products. The position must uphold all health department standards for storage and work with the front and back of house team members to meet the needs of all Magnol guests.
Task/Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong understanding of the food & beverage menu, in order to be able to make recommendations to guests as needed.
Take orders as needed, and educate all guests by presenting and explaining the bread, pastry, croissant and coffee drink menu, and answering questions that they may have.
Always display a positive demeanor, and welcome every guest, no matter how busy your station may be.
Generate revenues by attracting new customers through customer service and quality coffee drink & food order execution.
Prepare all coffee drinks by following the prescribed recipes and preparation techniques.
Check that the barista equipment & Point of Sale System is fully functional prior to starting opening duties: inform manager immediately if there are any problems.
Take proper care and attention in setting up the food display and barista station and espresso machine, paying close attention to detail and around health code standards
Ensure that inventory for food and coffee station is properly stocked in order to maintain an easy customer flow (i.e, milk sugar, cups, napkins, etc.)
Maintain all inventories throughout the day
Keep front of house display and equipment operating by following operating instructions: executing proper cleaning and preventative maintenance techniques: troubleshooting breakdowns: and calling for repairs and escalations, if needed
Minimum Requirements:
An outgoing personality that can handle a fast-paced environment while still delivering high-end customer service
Familiarity with various coffee & espresso drinks, and manual machine experience
Ability to work well alone as well as on a team, and to use initiative as required
Strong attention to detail
Bilingual a plus.
Barista experience a plus, but not required.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent highly preferred
6 months minimum experience in a high-volume setting
