Position Overview The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking a Gastroenterologist / Hepatologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. The position requires a physician with strong clinical, educational, and research experience and is offered with academic or clinical career pathways. Duties and Responsibilities Provide exemplary direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures with precision and empathy. Engage in mentorship and educational activities, training medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to comprehensive care plans. Lead and collaborate on clinical and translational research projects, advancing evidence‑based practices. Commit to ongoing professional development and stay updated on the latest field advancements. Drive quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and optimizing clinical operations. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine; active DEA certification. Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship training program in gastroenterology or hepatology.
