Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Engineering Technician and provide support and assistance to the Transmission Portfolio Integration and Decision Support program within the Transmission Infrastructure Asset Management organization. The position will provide cost estimates and other capital program support for the facility's Capital expansion and sustain engineering and construction projects. This support includes coordinating process improvements, operational excellence efforts, creating and facilitating granular TIS activities and facilitation and coordination between engineering staff, project managers, program (asset) managers and various planning and engineering organizations.This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with on site 3 days per week. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $35.39 and $38.93 depending on qualifications.The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:An Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Computer/Information Technology (or closely related field or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science (or closely related field) is preferred:With an applicable Bachelor's Degree, 6 years of experience is required..With an applicable Associate's Degree, 8 years of experience is required.Without a degree, 10 years of work experience is required.Experience must be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering, computer science or a related field.3 years of directly related engineering technician experience, sufficient to enable candidate to translate engineering requirements into design and material specifications and correlating cost estimates.3 years of experience in reading construction drawings and specifications.Valid U.S. Driver's License or Real ID is required.Preferred Skills:Prior electric utility work experienceProficiency in technical writingKnowledge of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) data / toolsWorking knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)Experience applying engineering principles, techniques, and practices relating to High Voltage Substation, Line, and Communication and Control projects, sufficient to translate engineering requirements for BPA and customer facilities into conceptual designs and accompanying cost estimationExperience in the design and/or construction of High Voltage Substations, Lines, or Communication, Relay and Control projects.
