System Engineer

Systems EngineerSavvee Inc. is seeking a technically skilled Systems Engineer to support our federal client onsite in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will lead IT engineering initiatives and complex projects, ensuring the successful delivery of mission-critical systems through all phases of the system development lifecycle. This individual will excel in technical leadership, requirements analysis, system integration and testing, risk management, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. One must already hold a Secret-level clearance.Essential Functions:Leading and providing IT engineering support necessary to maintain, upgrade, test, develop and install new IT capabilities for the worldwide command in accordance with emergent requirements and the current organizational requirements and strategic priorities.Managing and leading complex projects and teams ensuring compliance of schedule, cost, and scope.Managing and leading all phases of system development life cycle including system definition, development, design, analysis & control, integration, and testing.Leading a team through occasional ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.Proactively managing projects with little supervision, resolving action items, issues, and risks.Performing requirements analysis, functional analysis, design synthesis, developmental testing, and operational testing.Conducting and leading technical reviews.Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.Education and Training:Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree PLUS eight or more years of equivalent work experienceMCP or MCSE with Hyper V Certification or experienceMinimum Experience and Skills:Ten or more years of system engineering experienceStrong inter-personal and leadership communication skills to carry out this assignment with the ability to lead and work as part of a teamHands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper VProficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 LTSCMust currently hold an active DoD Secret clearanceA proficiency in utilizing MS Office products especially Outlook and MS Exchange & Server (2016)Proven knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and hands-on experience applying AI solutionsStrong problem solving skillsA highly motivated self-starterMust be motivated and have excellent customer service skillsDesirable but not required qualifications:Defense Acquisition University Level III Systems Engineering CertifiedA proficiency in utilizing Windows Server 2008 R2EOE Statement: Savvee Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.EEOC- Eligibility to Work: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.Norfolk, VA Onsite Full Time $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
