Job Summary
The Engagement Assistant supports the Director of Engagement in carrying out daily programs
and activities that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role is hands-on and resident-
focused, helping to create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment through meaningful
interactions and activities.
Actively engage with residents throughout the day in a positive and meaningful way
Encourage participation in group activities and events
Provide 1:1 engagement for residents who may not attend group programs
Build relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences
Assist in carrying out daily activities, events, and scheduled programs
Help set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events
Support outings and special events as needed
Assist with holiday celebrations and themed activities
Work closely with the Director of Engagement to execute the monthly activity calendar
Communicate resident feedback and participation trends
Support other departments as needed to enhance resident experience
Help maintain a welcoming, energetic, and resident-centered environment
Promote a hospitality-focused atmosphere in all interactions
Ensure activity areas are organized, clean, and ready for use
Follow all community safety and infection control protocols
Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times
Ensure proper supervision of residents during activities
Perform other duties as assigned.

Passion for working with seniors
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and team-oriented
Ability to lead or assist with group activities
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
