You may be assigned to work all areas of the dispensing pharmacy including product selection, packing and shipping. Technician Level 1, Dispensing team members are expected to perform any of the following functions: manual filling and packing, fill medications for automated machines, Quality Sampling of medications from automated machine, packing orders using automated packing machinery. As a Technician Level 1 you may be asked to support the shipping handler functions such as manually metering packages and placement of packages to be sorted for shipment.As a Pharmacy Technician, you must possess basic computer proficiency and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. This position requires standing throughout the entire shift. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction across all levels of staff.Success in this role also depends on demonstrating a high degree of reliability, professionalism, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.We're looking for applicants to be available for the shift listed below: Sunday 2pm-12:25am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3pm-1:25am.Required QualificationsPossess or obtain an Illinois Pharmacy Technician LicenseLicense Requirement: must complete IL Certification Requirements within 2 years from the date your license was issued, which includes: 1) Passing a national Pharmacy Technician exam and 2) Completing an on-site Back-end Technician Training ProgramResponsibility of maintaining licensure and compliance trainingFlexibility to perform duties across multiple functional areasStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to: - Read and comprehend English - Perform basic math (including dosage and days' supply calculations)Physical ability to: - Stand for extended periods - Reach, twist, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 lbsDetail focused and task orientedRegular and predictable attendanceColleague will be required to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when neededDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new processes, technologies, and workflow changesPreferred QualificationsFormal Pharmacy Technician training or Pharmacy Tech experienceExperience working in a Mail Order PharmacyCertified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024EducationVerifiable high school diploma or GED requiredAnticipated Weekly Hours: 40Time Type: Full timePay Range: $17.00 - $31.30This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
