Manager, Store Planning

Job DescriptionAs this is a hybrid position, working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who currently reside in Northeast Ohio.American Greetings is looking for a Manager, Store Planning to lead strategy and execution of space allocation for our Celebrations departments across key accounts. This role is responsible for optimizing in-store layouts to drive productivity and profitability, aligning closely with each retailer's unique strategy.This role requires strong analytical skills and leveraging data and analytics to inform space and sales models, ensuring effective category and occasion level allocation. They also oversee the execution of retail updates, including planogram development and in-store merchandising assignments.Our ideal candidate embodies a strong blend of analytical thinking, strategic planning, and cross functional collaboration to deliver impactful retail experiences and business growth.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Development of strategies to drive retail updates Awareness to how retail updates effect the financial plans Strong collaboration with Field Management on diagrams and revisions Create and maintain all floorplans for American Greetings Participate in executing continuous improvement opportunities Analyze productivity and profitability for their floorplans and suggests areas of opportunity to better achieve goals Ensure all celebrations retail updates are completed in the most cost effective manner Manage productivity of space; identifying opportunities to improve productivity through optimizations Accurate and efficient management of product, planogram, store and assortment data Efficient creation and maintenance of floorplans Manage individual contributors and work on training and development Manage analyst(s) on a day to day basis to meet goals and deadlines. Provide coaching feedback and career development opportunities. Enhance the reporting capabilities to enrich American Greeting’s business processes Strong understanding on capacity of the team and help to manage workload Strong communication and collaboration with business unit leads across the businessExperience RequiredRequired Length & Type of Experience: 5-10 years related experience Experience managing individual contributors Consumer packaged goods experience preferred in areas of product management and/or merchandising Space Planning/merchandising Experience Is Preferred Strong analytic skills Strong financial expertise Clear, crisp communication and presentation skillsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities JDA knowledge preferred CAD Experience Preferred Microsoft office, especially Excel & VisioEducation RequiredBachelors degree in Business or related subjectCareer Site CategoryCorporate Jobs
