We’re Hiring: Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health Brooklyn, NY |Contract (Potential Extension) We are seeking an experiencedNurse Manager – Behavioral Healthto lead operations for an inpatient psychiatric unit in an acute care hospital setting. This is a great opportunity for a strong RN leader with hands-onpsych unit management experience . ⚠️Must Have:Experience managing a psychiatric unit in an acute care hospital. Assignment Details Start: May 4, 2026 (Tentative) End: August 1, 2026 (Tentative, possible extension) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Brooklyn, NY Interviews: Virtual ⏰ 24-hour operational responsibility Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations of the inpatient psychiatric unit Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (DOH, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) Oversee admissions, discharges, and patient care delivery Drive quality improvement and performance initiatives Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance Manage staffing, operations, and interdisciplinary collaboration ✅Qualifications ActiveRN License (New York State) BSN required(Master’s preferred) 5+ years RN experience(with psych background) 2+ years in leadership/management Experience managing ahospital-based psychiatric unit (required) BLS & ACLS (AHA) required Crisis Management Certification (PMCS, TRUST, or equivalent) What We’re Looking For Strong leadership and decision-making skills Experience with quality improvement & compliance Excellent communication and team collaboration Proficiency with EMR systems Benefits Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and more.
