Job Description
We are currently hiring aHead ChefinRehoboth Beach, DE at Chesapeake & Maine. Creates world-class food to complement our world-class beer. Provides leadership, coaching, development, and oversight to all kitchen staff. Runs an orderly, highly functional, and financially sound kitchen minimizing waste, controlling labor, creating accurate budgets and costs, and monitoring/maintaining all equipment in good working order. Champions, preserves, and supports a safe, clean, and sanitary working environment for coworkers, vendors, and guests. What You'll Brew: Creates world-class food through menu creation, planning and exceptional culinary execution Fosters positive working relationships and good communication both within the kitchen team as well as amongst other restaurant teams Enforces and adheres to all safety regulations as required by the position and the company's safety program Enforces and adheres to all sanitation initiatives as required by the position and the company's sanitation program; ensures that all checklists are completed within prescribed timeframes Provides leadership, coaching, and oversight for entire culinary staff Ensures the excellence of the back-of-house teams by hiring and guiding chefs and other back of house leaders, creating consistent and enriching work experiences for all positions in the organization, and developing and maintaining excellent and effective training programs for all culinary staff Responsible for monitoring costs, budgets, and inventory Oversight of special restaurant and brewery events (beer dinners and weddings) What Ingredients You'll Bring: Minimum Qualifications: 4yr bachelor's degree (Culinary/Hospitality) 5+ years of culinary/executive chef experience leading a high-volume, dynamic kitchen More significant career experience may replace all or part of the undergraduate requirement Level: 6 At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $57,000 - $92,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
