Area Sales Manager
A successful Area Sales Manager will be highly motivated, responsive, organized, and a critical thinker who is responsible for achieving their territory sales quota. The duties of the Area Sales Manager include inbound requests from customers, daily quoting, submittals, specification interpretation, technical support, and order management. They will communicate with their customers, external sales team, architects and engineers.
Essential Job Functions: Use in-depth knowledge of Nystrom products and market needs to consult with clients
Develop and manage sales pipeline to ensure growth of territory while working alongside your Regional Sales Managers and External Sales teams to achieve monthly and annual quota goals
Deliver weekly and monthly forecasts based on projected incoming business
Demonstrate responsiveness to customers and External Sales team through phone and email communication
Organize and prioritize daily tasks including incoming requests, follow up, prospecting, and account development
Natural curiosity when speaking with customers to identify additional opportunities
Learn processes involving quoting, submittals, order preparation, change orders, returns, credit applications, and price adjustments
Ability to understand, convey, and apply technical aspects of drawings and specifications of products to customers
Learn internal CRM and other systems
Job Qualifications: Minimum 2 years Sales experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Construction background preferred but not required
Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Excels in high-paced work environment
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to daily tasks and activities
