Electrical Engineer
Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Perry Nuclear, Davis Besse, and/or Beaver ValleyDuration: 11+ monthsPay Range: $85 - $100/hour depending on experiencePer Diem: $178/dayTarget Start Date / Availability: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support design and analysis efforts for commercial nuclear power plant modifications, upgrades, and new build related projects. This role involves working under the guidance of senior engineering staff while contributing to complex engineering solutions in a highly regulated environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical engineering design and analysis in support of plant modifications, upgrades, and capital projectsDevelop and review engineering calculations, evaluations, and technical documentationPrepare design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and modification packagesEvaluate existing plant electrical systems and develop design solutions to improve safety, reliability, and performanceApply engineering principles related to power distribution, system protection, motor control, and electrical equipmentCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement design solutionsSupport engineering change processes and ensure design outputs meet project and regulatory requirementsInterface with clients and project teams to define technical scope and resolve design issuesProvide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning activitiesParticipate in technical reviews, design verification, and quality assurance processesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited programMinimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years within a commercial nuclear power environmentExperience supporting electrical design and analysis for plant modifications, upgrades, or new build projectsStrong understanding of electrical systems including medium and low voltage power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and protective relayingExperience developing engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluationsAbility to read and develop one line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawingsFamiliarity with industry codes and standards applicable to electrical design and constructionExperience working within formal design control processes, configuration management, and quality programsAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting both operating plant modifications and new nuclear development projectsFamiliarity with system level modifications impacting safety related or risk significant systemsExperience with electrical system studies such as load flow, short circuit, or coordination studiesExposure to system testing, commissioning, or startup supportProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtainApply today if you have experience as an: Electrical Engineer, Nuclear Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer Nuclear, Senior Electrical Engineer, Design Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer, Power Distribution Engineer, Plant Electrical Engineer, Nuclear Design Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Modifications Engineer, Electrical Analysis Engineer, or PE Electrical Engineer.FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
