Responsible for all facets of the vehicle sales/lease process from greeting the customer to delivery of the vehicle and (related follow up), subject to responsibilities expressly reserved for management.Consistently follows road to sale as set forth by management (i.e. walk around, test drive, needs analysis, etc.)Responsible to scan vehicle identification numbers of incoming service drive customers.Responsible to provide all "alert" customers with a proposal. If customers are unavailable, then the proposal should be sent to customer. i.e. email, text, etc.Looks for available opportunities, alerts using data mining software i.e. Auto Alert ProgramMakes required number of calls to follow up with service to sales opportunities.Maintains minimum target sales goals set by upper management. Minimum benchmark of 30 cars per month.Displays excellent customer service skills, including without limitation: Managing difficult or challenging customer situations; responding promptly to customer needs; soliciting customer feedback to improve service; responding to requests for service and assistance; meeting commitments to customers and management.Works effectively with, and assists, other Sales Consultants, co-employees, and dealership management to create and maintain effective customer relationships and sell, lease, or deliver vehicles.Completes accurate paperwork accompanying vehicle sales.Follows Safeguards Rules and company safety procedures and policies.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsAbility to:Provide superior quality service to internal and external customers.Be an effective team member who is innovative, proactive and focused on quality improvements.Present a positive and professional image to customers, staff and vendors.Manage multiple projects and duties simultaneously.Meet critical deadlines.Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.Communicate both in writing and in person.Coordinate the efforts of salespeople to encourage their individual progress and development.Coordinate, with other Sales Managers, programs that will enhance your own personal development.Adapt to changing conditions and show a willingness to assist others when needed.QualificationsHigh School diploma or the equivalent; minimum five years automotive sales experience; minimum two years automotive sales management experience.Basic working knowledge of Dealership computer systemsExcellent selling, leadership, interpersonal and communication skillsValid in-state Driver's license and clean driving recordBenefitsGroup Benefits eligibility for full-time associates is 1st of month after 60 days.
