Role Summary We are seeking a dependable and talented Class A Driver to become a key part of our San Jose, CA operations. Our core business involves the transport and delivery of refrigeration units, supermarket shelving, and fixtures to support new construction and renovation projects across the Western U.S. Core Duties Operate a Class A vehicle securely to move freight to diverse destinations, with both local and long-haul options provided. Ensure the timely delivery of heavy machinery and vehicles to various project sites throughout the Bay Area. Complete standard routes that typically stay within an 80-mile radius of our San Jose facility. Manage the operation of a roll-off truck with a focus on safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle assessments to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team. Keep precise records regarding fuel usage, mileage, and total hours spent on the road. Follow all established company guidelines and traffic regulations during transit. Coordinate effectively with dispatch and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery operations. Assist with loading and unloading freight, utilizing proper safety measures to protect the cargo. Deliver outstanding service to clients during every pickup and drop-off to help build strong customer relationships. Requirements Possession of a current Class A Commercial Driver's License. At least two years of professional commercial driving experience, with three years preferred, and a spotless driving history. Deep understanding of safety protocols and Department of Transportation regulations. Competency in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to help foster positive interactions with team members and clients. Proven background in utilizing rigging and tie-down equipment alongside roll-off truck operation. Essential proficiencies include: Valid DOT Medical Certification Active Driver's License Current CDL credentials Adherence to DOT and equipment inspection standards
