POSITION SUMMARY: Full Time 36 hours per week, The Registered Respiratory Therapist's purpose is to provide quality respiratory care to our patients, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. Collaborates care with the multidisciplinary team and communicates effectively with others. Ensures patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies. Is accountable for maintaining all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent. Along with other care team members, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH. Relocation assistance is available. ******************* Sign on Bonus $10,000.00 ******************* KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assesses patient's clinical status, evaluates progress toward goals, and recommends courses of action to determine a plan of carePlans for the patient's respiratory care needs in collaboration with other members of the care team to provide the highest quality of clinical outcomesSafely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines and policies to provide safe patient careAnalyzes critical situations and applies appropriate judgment and critical thinking to achieve problem resolutionAccurately and reliably interprets and communicates patient results to support patient careDocument interventions performed and responses to therapies in the electronic medical record to result in compliant and useful documentationInteracts with and explains therapeutic modalities to patients, families,s and the interdisciplinary team in an understandable manner based on learning styles and individual diversity to ensure collaborative care coordinationEffectively works in a team-based environment especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities to achieve the highest quality of patient outcomes.
