(Elliot).Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Field Safety Technician to join our Western Region team. This position will be based in the Tulsa / Broken Arrow, Oklahoma area and will primarily support distribution and underground service crews across Oklahoma and surrounding states.Position OverviewThe Field Safety Technician plays a key, hands-on role supporting our crews in the field each day. This position is not a management or office role, it's designed for an experienced line worker or foreman who is passionate about field safety, mentoring, and helping others work safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on job sites, working directly with crews to promote safe work practices, coaching team members, identifying and reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with Elliot policies and OSHA/NESC regulations. This position reports to the Western Region Safety Manager and works closely with the Regional Safety and Operations teams to strengthen our safety culture and support our commitment to "Target Zero."Qualifications / Experience RequirementsRequired:Extensive field experience in power line construction (distribution and/or transmission)In-depth understanding of line work safety practices, rigging, grounding, and energized workFamiliarity with OSHA, NESC, and applicable state regulationsAbility to communicate effectively and build trust with field personnelWillingness to travel locally within Oklahoma and occasionally to surrounding statesPreferred:8-10 years of power line construction experience in transmission or distributionPrevious experience as a crew foreman, line worker, or field safety representativeExperience conducting safety audits, observations, or tailboardsKey ResponsibilitiesVisit crews daily to observe work practices and provide on-site coaching and feedbackPartner with field leadership to identify and correct potential hazards before incidents occurConduct safety audits, job briefings, and follow-up reviews with crewsSupport training efforts, including mentoring apprentices and new hires on safe work methodsPromote Elliot's "Target Zero" culture through servant leadership and positive reinforcementAssist in incident investigations and documentation when neededBenefits/CultureToday, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms.
