AWS Engineer with API Integration

Job Title: AWS Engineer with API Integration Location: Whippany, NJ (Onsite) Duration: Contract Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced AWS Engineer with strong expertise in API integration and cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will design, build, and manage scalable APIs and integrations across distributed systems using AWS services. This role requires hands-on experience in API Gateway, microservices architecture, and secure, high-performance integrations.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices on AWS.Build and manage API integrations using AWS API Gateway, Lambda, and other AWS services.Integrate internal and external systems using secure, scalable API solutions.Implement event-driven architectures using services like SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.Ensure API performance, reliability, scalability, and security.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.Monitor and troubleshoot API and integration issues using AWS monitoring tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, backend, and DevOps.Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, IAM roles).Document API designs, integration workflows, and best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong hands-on experience with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).Expertise in API integration, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven systems.Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or Node.js.Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline).
