Medical Director Physician

St. Anthony'sThe Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will report to and work closely with the President & CEO, while partnering with senior leaders and the Board of Directors to develop and execute organizational strategy. This executive will play a key role in shaping policies, advancing quality initiatives, and ensuring alignment with St. Anthony's short- and long term goals. The CMO will also provide leadership to employed, contracted, and aligned medical staff, as well as contracted medical directors.Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of systems and processes that promote the highest standards of quality, patient safety, and evidence based care.- Oversee, guide, and support medical management decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes while aligning with organizational objectives.- Conduct routine chart reviews and audits, including spot checks, as part of ongoing Quality Assurance initiatives.- Engage with medical staff on a regular, ongoing basis to identify opportunities for clinical improvement.- Cultivate strong, collegial relationships with physicians and clinical team members to enhance engagement and support high quality patient care.- Advise Administration on clinical strategy and recommend solutions to medical and operational challenges.Education & Experience Requirements- Valid Iowa MD/DO license with no history of disciplinary action; board certified or board eligible in area of specialty.- Current DEA license.- Minimum of five years of healthcare experience required.Position DetailsThis role includes 50-60% clinical practice, with the remainder dedicated to CMO and administrative responsibilities.Contact & SchedulingFor more information or to apply:Mark DotsonDirector, Executive Search Schedule a call:
