Special Education Teacher - Richmond, CA

Job Description Bachelor&#39;s or Master&#39;s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher role located in Richmond, CA, supporting students within a Transitional Kindergarten program. This is a contract position running through June 11, 2026, with the potential for a non-school year (NSY) placement as well. The role requires onsite work for approximately 37.5 hours per week, with no virtual support options at this time.Key Responsibilities:Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students in a Transitional Kindergarten setting.Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines.Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students individual learning requirements.Participate in meetings related to student educational planning and provide expert guidance on special education best practices.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential.Current California Teaching Credential (CTC).Experience working with young children with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and educational teams.Work Setting and Schedule:37.5 hours per week, onsite in Richmond, CA.Contract duration until June 11, 2026, including potential for work during the non-school year.If you hold the required credentials and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in special education at the early childhood level, we encourage you to apply.
