Job Title: Virtual School Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) or School Psychologist – Trauma Informed CounselingLocation: Remote (Must be based in or licensed to practice in Wyoming)Employment Type: Contract / Part-timeCaseload: K-4 StudentsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and clinical Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) or School Psychologist to join our virtual special education team. This role is specifically designed for a professional with a deep background in adolescent trauma informed counseling.Operating 100% remotely, you will provide critical intervention, crisis support, and preventative education to students across Wyoming. You will act as the primary point of contact for students struggling with trauma while maintaining compliance with state standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTargeted Counseling: Conduct individual and group virtual therapy sessions focusing on adolescent trauma.Screening & Assessment: Utilize evidence-based screening tools (such as CRAFFT) to identify students at risk of dependency and develop personalized intervention plans.Virtual Crisis Response: Provide immediate remote support for students experiencing behavioral crises.Documentation & IEPs: Maintain accurate case records, contribute to the Social History component of IEPs, and ensure all progress monitoring is documented in school-specific portals.Required QualificationsLicensure: Active Wyoming State license as an LMSW, LCSW or School Psychologist.Certification: Must hold (or be eligible for) WY School Social Worker Certification.Specialized Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in trauma informed counseling.Technical Proficiency: Comfort managing a "virtual office" using Zoom for Healthcare, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.Compliance: Deep understanding of HIPAA, FERPA, and Wyoming State mandated reporting laws.Preferred SkillsBilingualism: Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.Trauma-Informed Care: Experience with the intersection of trauma and chemical dependency.Technology RequirementsHigh-speed, reliable internet connection.A private, secure workspace that meets HIPAA privacy standards.A computer equipped with a high-definition webcam and noise-canceling headset.
