This role focuses on structural welding, heavy-steel fabrication, and production of high-quality assemblies that meet AWS D1.1 standards.Key Responsibilities Perform FCAW welding on structural steel components and heavy equipment partsInterpret and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsPrepare materials, set up weld joints, and maintain proper weld parametersInspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with AWS D1.1Operate fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and cutting equipmentMaintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company safety proceduresCollaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production goalsRequired Qualifications AWS D1.1 certification (current or previously held)Strong proficiency in Flux-Core (FCAW) welding on heavy steelAbility to pass an in-house weld testExperience reading blueprints and weld symbolsReliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentCompensation & Schedule $31$34 per hour, depending on experience and test performanceFull-time position with overtime opportunitiesAdditional Skills & QualificationsMIG welding, flux core, AWS D1.1Experience LevelIntermediate LevelJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
