This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys translating complex legal requirements into practical, accessible guidance for both legal and non-legal audiences.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert on California, federal, and applicable local labor and employment lawsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative and regulatory developmentsResearch, draft, and update employment law content and guidance materialsAnalyze and communicate legal requirements clearly without providing legal adviceWrite, edit, and review publications related to employment and labor law complianceProduce and present webinars, seminars, trainings (including harassment prevention), podcasts, and online events (virtual and in-person)Serve regularly on a Labor Law Helpline, responding to employment law inquiriesCollaborate with internal teams on editorial and training initiativesTravel occasionally, primarily within CaliforniaQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) required3–5+ years of employment law experienceExperience advising or training lawyers and non-lawyers on compliance with California and federal employment lawsStrong research, analytical, and legal writing skillsAbility to interpret statutes, regulations, and legal publications and communicate them clearlyComfortable presenting to live and virtual audiencesProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointWork Environment & Physical RequirementsCombination of desk-based work, presentations, and occasional travelAbility to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for standard office tasksOccasional lifting of up to 25 poundsModerate noise level typical of a professional office environmentReasonable accommodations availableWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
