Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Tuscaloosa, AL. The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat vision disorders, and prescribe corrective lenses and treatments as needed. Additional responsibilities include educating patients on eye health, staying updated on advancements in optometric technology and treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as required. Ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory standards will also be a core part of this role. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of optometry practices, including diagnostic and treatment techniquesProficiency in conducting eye exams and interpreting results accuratelySkills in patient communication, education, and providing personalized careAbility to utilize advanced optometry equipment and digital health records systemsAttention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to patient satisfactionValid Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and current optometry licenseExperience in medical optometry or managing ocular diseases is an assetTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and other medical professionals
