Soccer Age Group Manager

About us Tonka United is one of the largest non-profit youth soccer clubs in Minnesota with a complete youth player pathway, 4-19 years old. Our pathway begins at the recreational level and can take a player to compete nationally and on to college. Our goal is to attract, retain, and promote youth soccer players and families. Job Summary: We are looking for a full-time coach who enjoys working with players of all ages to create a foundational soccer experience to love the game & learn and grow in their soccer development. You will be responsible for coaching, managing, and leading an entire assigned age group. Must be available during working hours 12pm - 8pm Monday-Thursday and weekends as assigned. What You Will Do: Lead, monitor, guide the assigned age group as the Head Coach to achieve the mission, vision, values and objectives of the club Design and implement training sessions to improve player development Lead teams in league matches and scrimmages Manage all team reschedules, communication, and organization Serve as a mentor for assistant coaches (paid and volunteer) Be the point of contact for the age group for all families Create a positive soccer environment through role modeling the Tonka mission, vision & values Manage and execute team creation and roster adjustments for specific age group teams Travel with teams to out-of-town tournaments Resolve all coaching, player and/or parent matters that arise in age group Coach supplemental programs, such as camps and clinics, as assigned Regularly conduct individual development plans with players and parents Host pre-season meetings to ensure team alignment Meet daily with co-workers to align age groups with club.
