Job Description Maintenance Tech Charleston SC 29492 7am-4pm Mo n-Fri Direct hire+benefits $25-$28 (BOE) +overtime Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, belts, bearings, valves, and sensors Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to minimize downtime Install and set up new machinery and production equipment Troubleshoot electrical systems including PLCs, motors, and control circuits Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company safety standards Assist with continuous improvement and equipment upgrades Work with production teams to quickly resolve breakdowns Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred) Experience in industrial maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred) Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Basic understanding of PLC troubleshooting (advanced knowledge preferred) Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
