This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full stack, values clean code, and wants to contribute to a product used by real customers every day.What you'll be doing:Designing, building, and maintaining features across the Ruby on Rails applicationWriting clean, well-tested, maintainable codeCollaborating closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship features end-to-endContributing to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decisionsImproving performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systemsParticipating in an agile development process (sprints, standups, retros)What we're looking for:Solid commercial experience with Ruby on RailsStrong understanding of object-oriented design and testing practices (RSpec/Minitest)Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)Some exposure to AI/LLM tooling or integrations (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic APIs) is a plusFamiliarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, Hotwire/Stimulus, or a JS framework) is a plusAble to operate as a B2B contractor (own limited company/freelance status)Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative team environmentGood communication skills and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindsetContract details:12 Month B2B contractCompetitive day rateFlexible/remote-friendly workingInitial contract length with potential for extension📩 Interested?
